The Opening Ceremony will kick off the Annual Meeting program on Saturday, October 17, at 8:00 am (PT) and features the John Conley, MD Lecture on Medical Ethics, speeches from the Academy leaders, and new videos showcasing members, the specialty, and Academy initiatives.
The John Conley, MD Lecture on Medical Ethics will feature honorary speaker Bobby Mukkamala, MD, past president of the American Medical Association (AMA) and a board-certified otolaryngologist–head and neck surgeon in private practice in his hometown of Flint, Michigan. A passionate advocate for public health, Dr. Mukkamala is deeply committed to creating a more sustainable health system that better supports physicians and more effectively serves the needs of people and communities.
